Nearly 300 years ago, the farm Stettyn was granted to its first owners, who originated from the former Prussian city of Stettin. The Griffin coat of arms of the city dates back to the 12th century when the Griffin dynasty established themselves as the local rulers. The Griffin was thought to be a powerful and majestic creature with a body of a lion and head and wings of an eagle. It is the legendary king of all creatures and the guardian of treasures and priceless possessions.
Being the producers of the Griffin Range of wines, it is with a sense of pride that we at Stettyn Cellar have committed ourselves to becoming the custodians of this legend, a tradition and heritage which will be handed down to all future generations.
