By honouring our roots, we named this wine, Bąbelki, which means “the bubbly” in Polish. We are supporting our local community (Institute for the Blind) with a contribution of R1 from each bottle we sell.

Our Bąbelki Sparkling Rosé Brut is an elegant wine perfect for turning any occasion into a celebration of life with this vibrant sparkling wine.

Tasting notes

A fun, clean, and fresh wine with a soft salmon pink hue. Fresh crisp, green apple, floral notes, and almonds on the nose, following through to the palate. Supported by an elegant maturity underlined by an alluring fine mousse.

Climate/conditions

Mediterranean climate with winter rainfall situated between the cooler, wetter Boland and the harsher, drier Karoo. Cool nights enhance the veraison with warmer days for good phenolic ripeness and concentrated flavours.

Winemaking

Crushed, settled, and racked. Inoculated with selected yeast and cold fermented at 12 – 13°C. The Chardonnay component was fermented with 1.5 g Hungarian oak bullets. Racked and kept on fine lees for 8 months. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir only blended right before bottling.
